The service

Chat With Purpose is an AI chat product. Your conversations are processed by third-party model providers to generate responses. The Service is provided for general informational and productivity purposes and is not a substitute for professional advice.

How donations and impact work

Chat With Purpose turns your AI usage into charitable giving. Chat With Purpose (the company), not you, makes the donations, funded from its own revenue — so your use of the product is not a tax-deductible charitable contribution. Impact figures shown throughout the app are good-faith estimates based on average program costs and are not guarantees; actual amounts donated may vary by partner, campaign, fees, exchange rates, and timing. Donations are made in batched, periodic drops to vetted nonprofits — not in real time and not on a strict per-message basis. Estimated unit costs (e.g. cost per liter of water or meal) are illustrative averages drawn from public program data and do not represent a specific transaction. Any organizations named anywhere in the product are referenced for context only and are not partners, sponsors, or endorsers unless explicitly stated.

Chat With Purpose operates a commercial co-venture / cause-related marketing model: Chat With Purpose, the company, makes donations from its own revenue based on product usage. You are not making a donation, and your use of the Service is not a tax-deductible charitable contribution. Impact figures shown in the app are good-faith estimates, not guarantees, and donations are made in batched, periodic drops rather than in real time or on a strict per-message basis.

Any charities or causes named in the Service are referenced for context only and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or official partners of Chat With Purpose unless we explicitly state otherwise.

Eligibility and age

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Chat With Purpose, you represent that you are 18 or older. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has used the Service, please contact us so we can remove the account and associated data.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You may sign in with Google or continue as a guest; guest sessions are stored locally and may be lost if you clear your browser. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content, infringing others’ rights, reverse-engineering or disrupting the Service, or using it to violate applicable law. A full list of prohibited activities is set out in our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that Policy.

Third-party services

Chat With Purpose relies on third-party providers to operate. Your prompts and any uploads are processed by AI model providers (accessed through OpenRouter) to generate responses; account and authentication are handled through Supabase (including Google OAuth); and payments are processed by Stripe. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers’ terms where applicable. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

Plans, limits and billing

The Service offers free and paid (Pro) tiers with different message limits and features. Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment processor on a recurring basis until cancelled. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing or plan features with reasonable notice.

Content and ownership

You retain ownership of the inputs you submit. You grant Chat With Purpose a limited license to process your inputs to operate and improve the Service. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for evaluating outputs before relying on them.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Chat With Purpose is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Impact estimates are not warranties and create no contractual obligation as to any specific donation amount.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Chat With Purpose is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The specific governing jurisdiction and any dispute-resolution process (such as venue or arbitration) are a placeholder pending review by [counsel] before public launch and will be finalized here. Until then, nothing in this section waives any right you may have under mandatory local law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
