Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated June 2026
We've written these pages in plain language so you can see exactly how Chat With Purpose works. They're shared for transparency and are not legal advice. We're a small team building in the open: this is a working draft that still needs review by a licensed attorney before public launch, so some wording may change.
This Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) describes what you may and may not do when using Chat With Purpose (the “Service”). It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. By using the Service you agree to follow this Policy.
Prohibited content and conduct
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Engage in or promote illegal activity, or generate content that is unlawful under applicable law.
- Create or distribute harmful, harassing, hateful, threatening, or abusive content, or content that incites violence.
- Generate sexual content involving minors, or any child sexual abuse material — this is strictly prohibited and will be reported as required by law.
- Violate the privacy of others, including collecting, exposing, or processing personal or sensitive information without authorization.
- Infringe the intellectual-property rights of others, or misappropriate trademarks, copyrights, or trade secrets.
- Create, distribute, or facilitate malware, spyware, phishing, or other malicious or deceptive code.
- Generate spam, or content intended to deceive, defraud, or impersonate a person or organization.
Protecting the Service
You also agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service, or access it by automated means except where we expressly allow it.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, models, or prompts underlying the Service.
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent usage limits, rate limits, authentication, billing, or any security or access controls.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including by overloading, attacking, or probing our infrastructure.
- Resell or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations of this Policy. Where we reasonably believe a violation has occurred, we may remove content, throttle or restrict features, and suspend or terminate accounts, with or without notice depending on the severity. We may also report unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent loss of access to the Service.
Reporting abuse
If you encounter content or behavior that violates this Policy, please let us know at chatwithpurpose.com so we can review it.
